Do military wives have dental care? how does that work?

Dental insurance is offered to military spouses and other dependents, however, your husband has to sign up for it. It's through Tricare, but under a company called United Concordia. Once you are singed up it take 30 days for the policy to go into effect and you can find a participating provider online. Unlike Tricare, United concordia dental insurance is not free. It runs around 10 bucks a month for just spousal coverage and about 30 for family coverage (if you have kids.) the monthly insurance fee is taken directly out of your husbands paycheck before taxes so you dont really even miss the money!!You will get a complete explanation of benefits but basically you get:2 cleanings and exams per year and xrays (both 100% covered)All other procedures are covered at a certain percentage. (ex. amalgam fillings at 80%, crowns and root canals 50%, ect.) It's a great program and preventative care is very important so I would take advantage of it. visit www.ucci.com for more information on the programvisit http://www.tricaredentalprogram.com/tdpt… to sign up for coverage!! Good luck to you! Source(s): military spouse and dental professional for 5+ years. 2 years ago 1 person rated this as good awesome, thank you!
