Is the military dependent dental plan any good?
2 free cleanings each year (have to be 6 months or more apart) and 1 xray every 2 years with the only cost to you any taxes charged. For all other work up to 80% paid for then you pay the rest out of your own pocket. usually cavities run around $25 to $50 each at your cost, crown not sure. Wisdom teeth is different. If you only get 2 or 3 pulled any anethestic used is out of your own pocket but if you get all 4 pulled they will cover it. Often the difference between the two is around $100 to $200 so it can be better if necessary to get all 4 pulled. Now sometimes for wisdom teeth if the base is open then dental on base can do it but it has to go through approval and that can take time. The cost for the program is $13 for a single or $33 for a family per month and that is deducted straight out of his pay. it is a decent program compared to others that I have seen. Many do not cover all of those things. You just need to find a nice civilian dentist in your area that is accepted by United Concordia.
