How do you care for dental partials? I need cleaning and care instructions.?
- Chosen by Voters NEVER brush and denture, full or partial with toothpaste! The abrasive particles in toothpaste that keep you teeth shiny and white will abrade the shiny coating put on the denture. If this happens your denture will get dull and you can really tell that the teeth are fake then. Best way to clean them is to soak them regularly in a special partial denture soak solution (some solutions are made specially for partial dentures depending if you denture has a chrome or plastic frame – read the labels). As well as soaking them, you should always remove your denture to brush your teeth. While the denture is out of your mouth, use another toothbrush WITHOUT toothpaste – water is usually sufficient – and give the denture a good brush, as plaque will build up on it too.
